From designing a simple logo to creating an entire online campaign, our mission has always been the sameto do great work with great people. In 1985, Real Art Design Group was founded with the goal of doing real art. Nearly 25 years later, we've changed leadership, moved to a new building, added a lot more people and evolved in terms of what we offer our clients, but in the end, were still doing real art for great clients.
Our humble abode
Yes, the rumors are trueour home really is in Dayton, Ohio. While some of you may have just chuckled, we love Dayton, and it suits us just fine. Youll understand why if you visit. We also opened (and closed) an office in California. And, in 2004, we made the jump to Chicago and opened an office there (nearly 10 people strong now); our space in the Windy City overlooks fabulous Michigan Avenue.
About our work and skills
In terms of technology and capabilities, weve come a long way since our beginnings. Like most design firms in the 80s, we started out in the land of print and grew from there. Our expanded capabilities werent necessarily, um, planned. Weve taken more of a grow-with-the-clients-needs approach, learning to do whatever a client needed whenever they needed it. Sure, its been a little crazy at times, but weve had fun and learned some things along the way.
Weve also had the opportunity to work with some really amazing clients throughout the years. Big, small, local or internationaltheyve taught us a lot, and theyre all equally important in our eyes.
A little acclaim
Not to toot our own horn (dont you hate that phrase), but weve also received some acclaim for our work too. Weve been featured in both HOW andPrint magazines, recognized by the American Advertising Federation, received site of the day recognitions for several of our projects and, most recently, earned our very first National ADDY award (yay!). But enough about that.
What were really trying to get at
All you really need to take away from the history of Real Art Design Group is that weve been around. Weve seen a lot, done a lot and arent even close to slowing down. Just because you dont see a project in our portfolio that exactly fits what youre looking for doesnt mean that we havent done it or arent willing to give it a shot. After all, we love a challenge and a great end product just as much as you.
