The Real Beard Awards 2010
|
| |
The Greater Dayton Advertising Association wasn’t the only organization giving out awards this past Saturday night. One month ago, and to the dismay of some of their significant others, a few of the men of Real Art willingly enlisted in a beard-off, with the winner to be announced the night of the Hermes Awards (February 20). The official rules for The Real Beard Awards 2010 were as follows: • Pre-contest mustaches are allowed • Pre-contest beards are NOT allowed • Beginning photo must be supplied • Your creative contribution needs to be naturally grown • Beards MUST be worn to the Hermes Award ceremony to avoid disqualification The ladies at Real Art served as judges for the competition, votes were submitted by secret ballot, and contestants were judged in the following categories: classic beard, straight-up gross, styled and most unrecognizable face. In a company-wide gathering, silver awards were presented to the following: Justin Dunham and Matt Zolman, tie for classic beard Chris Wire and Geoff Stump, tie for straight-up gross Geoff Stump, styled beard Mark Kargl, most unrecognizable face Selected from the silver award winners, Mark Kargl was presented with the gold award and statue on Saturday night after the Hermes event. Congrats Mark! Way to grow…
