  Statuary Hall
A visit to the Capitol Building almost always includes a trip to Statuary Hall. Who wouldn’t be excited to see which icons were selected to symbolize their home state? From Will Rogers and Robert E. Lee to Helen Keller and Dwight D. Eisenhower, the statues provide a snapshot of America’s rich and diverse history.

The National Statuary Collection Study Committee was charged with selecting a new Ohioan for the National Statuary Collection based on talents, character and contributions.

William M. McCulloch
As a key part of our country's civil rights movement, McCulloch deserved to be recognized as one of the most significant Americans to come from our state. Real Art built a site to educate people on his influence on our nation's history and inspire people to vote for his inclusion in the Hall.

The election came and went, and McCulloch came in 3rd place behind Thomas Edison and the Wright Brothers. However, having been among such notable names as Ulysses S. Grant, Jesse Owens, Harriet Beecher Stowe and James Mitchell Ashley, third is a very impressive place to have landed.
